BPEL XML.org EdBoard Meeting Minutes: 23 Oct
- From: "Carol Geyer" <carol.geyer@oasis-open.org>
- To: <bpel-fa-edboard@lists.xml.org>
- Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2007 17:08:15 -0400
Attending: Dieter, Diane, Mark, Charlton, Carol, Martin
The Board progressed with creating a framework and seed content for the Wiki
that will educate and encourage contributions from the community. We discussed:
1) Not duplicating TC Primer verbatim in the wiki.
A) We don't want to allow people to edit the entire Primer text.
B) Much of the Primer is written as a 'walk-through' and doesn't lend itself
to being chunked into wiki pages.
Instead, we've seeded a few pages with excerpts from the Primer including:
http://bpel.xml.org/benefits
http://bpel.xml.org/changes
http://bpel.xml.org/history
We'll also reference the Primer in the 'See also:' section of Wiki pages as
appropriate:
http://bpel.xml.org/about-bpel
2) Organizing the Wiki Knowledgebase around these sections:
- Capabilities of BPEL
- Working with BPEL
- BPEL community
- WS-BPEL standardization
- Related specifications
- Others TBD
3) Creating Wiki pages as listed at http://bpel.xml.org/wiki.
Action items for all Editorial Board members:
-Consider if other Wiki sections should be defined; if so, add them to
http://bpel.xml.org/wiki or suggest via this email list.
-Review existing pages and add/edit content where you can.
-Add new Wiki pages (either seeded with content or just stub pages to encourage
others to post content)
