Please remember that sponsors and Editorial Board members are two different things (although some Editorial members may be
representatives of companies that are Focus Area sponsors.)
Linked logos of Focus Area sponsors will appear on every page in the right column, much as they do now. XML.org site sponsors (those
who contribute $30K) will appear first, then the single Focus Area sponsors (those who contribute $5K) will appear.
Editorial Board members will be acknowledged in the two ways I outlined below.
I'll have more useful information on deadlines by Monday.

Carol,
You might also consider rotating the sponsor's logos somewhere on the pages. This could be a simple flash object that has each of
the sponsor's logos on each page and it would rotate through for people to identify with the visual logo for each company. That way
if people see the sponsors logo at some event they could identify with it easier.
Can you give us a deadline for when we need to get the bios to you?

XML.org DITA Editorial Board,
Not to put the cart before the horse, but I've been thinking about the issue of how we recognize the contributions of the Editorial
Board members on the Focus Area. I believe there are two appropriate places for acknowledgment:
1) Editorial Board page
This page would feature an alphabetical list of all Editorial Board members with a 150-word-max bio and (optional) photo. Bios for
employees of OASIS member companies could include a link to the member companies' web sites. Individual members of OASIS may
reference their present and previous employers, but no links would be provided.
Information on how to join and contact the Editorial Board would also be featured on this page.
2) Footer credits on each page
As oversight of each Focus Area page will be the responsibility of one (or more) Editorial Board member(s), I think proper credit
should be provided in the page footers:
"Content oversight for this page is provided by <Name> of <OASIS Member Company Name, linked to company homepage>, a member of the
XML.org DITA Editorial Board <link to bios page>."
For Editorial Board participants who are Individual OASIS members, the company name would not appear.
I encourage all Board members to begin to pull together bio information for the Editorial Board page. As soon as the wiki is
functional, each member can post his/her bio to that page--it should serve as a good first practice for using the wiki.
Note: While any OASIS member is invited to participate on the XML.org DITA Editorial Board, it is expected that those who do so will
be responsible for oversight of one or more pages on the site (or a similar type of contribution). Once the site is up and running,
this may consist of simply checking the designated page(s) on a regular basis and eliminating inappropriate posts, and attending
monthly or quarterly Board conference calls.
Please let me know if anyone has any other ideas on this topic.
