A few thoughts to share:
1) In general, I think Community Wiki pages should start off with one
sentence that describes the page content and one sentence that
defines what people should do on the page (preferably by using the
phrase "edit this page" which is linked to the appropriate edit
page). Examples:
DITA Users Groups (DUGs) or DITA Special Interest Groups (DIGs)
facilitate knowledge sharing among users in specific geographic
areas or among those with similar interests. Edit this page <linked to
http://dita.xml.org/node/1041/edit> to include currently
active groups or to solicit participation from others in forming a new
group.

This page features news stories, press releases, and announcements
related to DITA. Feel free to edit this page
<http://dita.xml.org/node/1028/edit> by adding appropriate links.
2) We should be careful not to say "OASIS" when we mean "XML.org" (or
visa versa). This is particularly important when we're talking
about hosting user groups (an XML.org activity, not an OASIS activity)
and when talking about the DITA TC (an OASIS activity, not an
XML.org activity). If you're ever in doubt, please just ask me.
3) Whenever possible, embed hyperlink references in text instead of
making URIs visible on the page.
4) Remember that the DITA XML.org Focus Area serves an international
audience. When referencing cities, country names should be
included. Don't let US-centric phrases or assumptions creep into your
pages.
5) Express dates as day-month-year (not month-day-year).
6) Whether or not your Community Wiki page needs a form for data input,
it would help if you could seed your pages with a few
entries of content, entering data in a format that establishes a model
of consistency. If you've completed this, and you feel you
have a page ready for more input, please send a message to this list, so
other Board members can add entries, in an effort both to
provide feedback that may be useful and plump up the content.
