This is a call for speakers and sponsors for the X-Pubs 2008 XML
Publishing Conference, 23rd - 24th June.

WHAT IS X-PUBS?
X-Pubs organises and delivers webinars, seminars, workshops,
case-studies and whitepapers from some of the industry most valued
technical minds to educate on and promote the latest content standards.
Every year X-Pubs organises the X-Pubs Conference, Europe's largest XML
Publishing conference. 

The X-Pubs 2007 Conference again hit its attendee goals, making it one
of Europe's largest technical communications and component content
management events. 

DATE
Currently set for: June 23-24 with an opportunity for workshops June 25.

There is a minor chance of change, but the conference will stay in the
month of June.

WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES
There are 4 workshops opportunities with morning and afternoon sessions
(or a full-day session). We would like to welcome sessions which
include training-related topics.

SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES
The theme of X-Pubs 2008 is: "Going Deeper". 

Feedback from last year indicated that our case study theme was well
received, but attendees felt that there was too much overlap, between
presentations. This year instead of the whole story of a project, we'd
like speakers to 'deep dive' on one aspect of their experience and
expertise providing attendees useful practical, advice they can take
back with them and apply in their work.

X-Pubs will be organising 'introductory sessions' by some select
speakers. If you have a very strong 'primer presentation' e.g., 'Intro
to DITA and XML', 'Benefits of Component Content Management', then
please let us know. We already have several volunteers here, so 'deep
dive' presentations are strongly preferred,

* Training and eLearning
* Information Architecture
* Reuse strategy
* Project planning
* Translation Management
* Content-related Business Measurement and reporting
* Modular workflow design
* Your suggestions...!

SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
* Interest in speaking / workshop and topic title - February
15th 
* Preliminary interest in exhibiting or sponsorship (package
details and costs will be sent to those expressing initial interest) -
February 15th 
* Detailed synopsis of presentation and speaker bios - April
15th
* Full presentations - April 30
