Paul's paper is excellent, it helped me to see the WHY in addidion to 
the WHAT. [2] has a very complete bibliography, but less would be 
more. Could anyone recommend some papers/textbooks other then listed 
in [1] ? I'm aiming for a quickstart, [2] is very longish ...
Formalisms are no problem, but a bit motivation and examples would 
help more for a beginner.
