The UNIX version of the "doc2xml" are available from 

A new command line option "-e" has been added to not produce empty element.
For example,
will not be produced to the output file.

Another command line option "-o" can be specified for the output file name.
For example
	doc2xml -tedi.tbl -e -oXML.out isa.edi
will produce the XML document in file "XML.out".
