Gurus and others,
You may recall that several months ago, I used this list as a resource in
figuring out how to make a programming language which conforms to XML 1.0.
Despite the fact that you all thought I was nuts, it's now done, and I
think it's pretty cool.
The language, called "Nimble" drives a Windows web browser plugin (now
porting to other platforms). The language encapsulates an object model for
3D scene description, distributed simulation, user interface, behavior
scripting, control flow, java/javascript interface, etc.
The plugin for Netscape, and the ActiveX control for IE are called
"HyperActive" and they let you deploy 3D audiovisual multiuser content in
web pages. Basically, it's a general purpose multiplayer game engine
wrapped in a little (<400K) plugin.
Anyway, I thought that since many of you helped me puzzle out the design of
this language, you might want to see the result.
The plugin is free, as is the SDK (a manual which isn't really done yet,
exporter, utilities & sample programs). You'll find it at:
http://www.kaon.com/SDK
Thanks again for all your help!
