If you want it to work as often as possible, yes. It isn't as Tim
suggests
that they vote for the webInterface because it is the best one, it is
because
it is the one with the most content. If they are given a more reliable
system, then they discover what the Mac users have always enjoyed,
higher productivity.
For the scripter (any scripter) to be productive, the components
must work the same way. Closed systems make that affordable. That
is the engineers voting with their feet.
No one here thinks the competitors are going away, but the numbers
favor the vendor with the best MTBF over a range of well-specified
tests.
