I'm glad you pursuing this. What I would reall like to see from Mr. Thompson
is a schema example using types/elements that can't be trivially recoded to
use a slightly modified element syntax alone. I understand the need for
primitive datatypes, but compound types are just abstract elements, like you
say.
My next question is: do we really need Content Models?
