But it's not a good reason. Java has packages to deal with this
issue and people should learn how to use them.
A good reason might be: it's a lousy name that doesn't fit in
that well with other standard java event mechanisms. I might
just about buy this line, but I can't say I'd be all that
desperate for a change. I guess my favoured options would be
along the lines of,
ContentHandler -> ContentListener
XMLReader -> XMLEventSource
