Thanks Martin at all that replied (too many to send individual mails).
It *is* very strange.
At first I thought the sole culprit was the XDR I use in my XML doc. I
commented it out and all was well for a bit.
I find that it works OK in VB, but seems to hang in IE5.
I am still looking into it, but it is driving me nuts. Oh, I have found that
the transformNode is not the root of the problem - it's actually on the load
method where it fails (well, hangs the XML parser and needs a reboot)!!
I have not had time to test in on my NT4 machine. I find the Win2K stuff is
very bad at returning errors, whether XML or not. It seems to hang a lot if
it has a problem with the XML, whereas the NT4 actually tells you there was
a problem.
Thanks
Steven

Subject: Re: MSXML on Win 2000 and transformNode
Steven,
I use transformNode on W2K. I've used it with version 2.0, 2.6 and 3.0.
You have to have the correct namespace URI:
2.0 - http://www.w3.org/TR/XD-xsl
2.6/3.0 - http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform
although if you have the code working on NT4 I'm not sure this is your
problem.
I can post an example of working code if that would help...
Martin
