The bulk_mailer program from Keith Moore provides a major speedup
for delivery of Majordomo lists. Majordomo sends the entire list
as a single job to sendmail, so one slow server delays the rest
of the deliveries. bulk_mailer groups mail by domain, then sends
multiple jobs to sendmail. This gives an integer factor speedup,
where the integer is 10 or 20.

I have recent experience setting this up, so you can ask me about
it directly (I expect those details are really not of interest to
the rest of the list).
