Thanks for the comments on SOAP, and I agree that SOAP by itself it not
sufficient for authentication, encryption etc. SOAP is meant to be a basic
framework. If you need those facilities, SOAP is a framework within which
they can be added in a layered, modular and distributed fashion.
By the way, I suggest we take the advice of several and move this discussion
to the SOAP discussion list.
