You may want to try XML Spy 3.0, which is an integrated development
environment for XML and includes - among many other things - Intelligent
Editing of XSL (i.e. full context-aware entry-help for XSLT elements and
attributes). It can automatically pretty-print your XSL file or only do it
on-demand and - even more important - you customize which elements you'd
like to have no output formatting for, because this is crucial with certain
XSLT commands (e.g. xsl:attribute). You can plug in any XSLT processor and
it allows you to specify batch transformations using a project view.

Another nice feature and a true time-saver for any XSL development is the
ability to specify an "example XML file" to be used for testing your XSL
file: while you are editing your XSL stylesheet you simply hit F10 to
automatically use the XSL file you are working on to transform this example
XML file. Since XML Spy includes a browser preview, you can actually have
the XSL file AND the output from your example XML in two windows and quickly
see the result of each change to your XSL file in the browser window.

The free evaluation version can be downloaded from http://www.xmlspy.com and
runs for 30 days. XML Spy is available for the Windows platform and is
available in two versions: the lite version is suitable for the hobbyist or
student, who doesn't need all the advanced features (like database
export/import, project management, etc.) and sells for US$ 39.- and the
premium version, which includes all features, sells for US$ 149.-

Subject: Good XSL editor?

Hello there XML-Dev.

I am looking for a decent XSL Editor which does things like validate a
created XSL file, as well as doing things like beautify the XSL (with
indents and carriage returns), at the very least while document is being
edited, sort of what like Internet Explorer does with XML documents. Any
suggestions?
