Actually, IBM's toolkit seems to have transmigrated into Apache's,

So now we have:
* For the Microsoft platform: SOAP/ROPE and VS.NET
* For Java, IBM's SOAP for Java
* For CORBA http://www.iona.com/soap
Those are three currently available toolkits for
using SOAP on the world's three major platforms.
I'm sure there are many others available, but that
should satisfy your query about easy ways to do
SOAP communications being provided. Technically,
you could invoke a SOAP service from a DOS .BAT
file as well. Nothing says that you have to be
using *any* of the above three platforms to write
your clients or services.
