Arithmetic with XML/XSL

Potentially very stupid question:
How do I go about adding/subtracting etc. the values of two XML elements via
XSL?
For example, I have the following:
<Publication>
<PubDate>07 May 2001</PubDate>
<PubTime>10:08 PM</PubTime>
<PubOffset>-5</PubOffset>
</Publication>
I'd like to be able to take the PubTime and Offset to display the time in
either local, GMT or local time of the viewer.
Many thanks,
- rich
