Jeni's "index.xml" file is actually an xml file.  It specifies an xslt
stylesheet to use, and has non-html material in it. A non-xml-aware browser
wouldn't display it in a useful way.

Her "index.html" file is xhtml,  and would display properly as an html file
in a non-xml-aware browser.
