Much the same as when Word 2000 users suddenly started sending
attachments to Word 95/98 users.
Why would there not be any helpful warning message? "The file
you have opened contains character "foo" in the [something
useful about location] which is not a valid character. Please
contact the owner or author"
Gosh, you mean people are implementing systems without adequate
error messages?
