When I met Mr. Charles Goldfarb sometime back, he sounded more like the
'Grandfather' of XML than a 'Father' of XML. I don't quite recall the
details of what he said, but I got the impression that his thoughts were
more focused on SGML and viewed XML in a grandfatherly ways: proud feeling
of kinship as well as feeling of disconnection.
Given that those whose names are actually on the XML 1.0 spec have earned
their places through labor of love, I don't think Mr. Charles Goldfarb is
entitled to be called 'Father' of XML. Jon Bosak deserves that titled.
I wonder what Jon's views are on this Blueberry mess...
