This is a totally different situation. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. XHTML 1.1 is very close to a subset of XHTML 1.0. If I recall correctly, aside from xml:lang and perhaps xml:space, it is a subset. XHTML 1.0 Strict is a subset of XHTML 1.0 transitional.
Blueberry is a superset of XML 1.0, not a subset.
