And also, though probably limited to "schema" or "infoset preparation"
there is the ISO DSDL effort which has just started.  I am sure that the
ISO group would welcome input and involvement. I am not sure we
have anyone signed up to do the formalities to pull W3C XML Schemas
in yet (of course, in liason with W3C: it remains their technology and
spec.) for example.   

I don't know any specifics about the DSDL sequencing mechanism:
it may benefit from XPipe's approach.
