If you're saying "let's experiment now, building from what we know
from XML and HTTP, then standardize later" I agree.
But what I'm seeing in the trade press is WE NEED WEB SERVICE 
STANDARDS NOW!  I'm worried about limiting the potential of
web services (very broadly defined) by premature standardization
on what we can do today.

Fair enough.  A certain amount of hype is necessary to jump start
the network effect.  But too much hype raises the suspicions
of people who get 10 come-ons for a Ponzi scheme in their e-mail
every day :~)
