Dear Professor/Dr.:

I  would  like  to  invite  you  to participate in a proposed session named
"Business  Process  Modeling and Integration for Dynamic e-Business" in the
Sixth   Multi-Conference   on   Systemics,   Cybernetics  and   Informatics
(SCI2002),  which  will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from July 14 -18,
2002. You can find information about the SCI2002 conference from conference
web page  http://www.iiis.org/sci2002/, or http://www.iiisci.org/sci2002/.

Invited  by  SCI2002  conference,  we  are proposing this session to widely
gather   acadamic   research,   practices   and  industry  experiences  for
rapid/flexible/efficient  BPM and BPI solutions for e-business with dynamic
features.  This  call-for-paper  is  to  invite  you  to  take  part in the
dedicated  session  and  to share your experiences, insights and practices.
Being  one of the significant organization in XML and e-business technology
domain,  we  strongly  welcome  your  ideas  or papers, and we believe your
active  participating  will  bring interesting and valuable contents to the
session and help to make this session more successful.

If  you  are  interested  in participating the session, please send us your
position  paper, extended abstract or paper draft before April 1. The paper
acceptance notification will be delivered no later than April 20. Once your
paper  is  accepted, the camera-ready copy is required to submit before May
20 to comply with the SCI2002 conference deadline.

WHY THE SESSION?

E-business  today  is  going  more  and  more  dynamic due to global market
opportunities   and   dramatic  technology  evolution.  There  is  emerging
requirement   for  the  dynamic  adaptation  of  e-business  processes  and
associated  systems to support changing business strategies and diversified
B2B integration.
Business  Process  Modeling(BPM)  and  Business  Process  Integration (BPI)
solutions,  although  originated  from  internal  business processes, found
themselves under great requirement whereas even stronger challenge to adapt
well  in  B2B  integration domain. What will be the key capabilities needed
for  BPM/BPI solutions under dynamic e-business and how they can be carried
out?  It  is the key problem this session is addressing and seeking answers
for from academic researches, practices and industrial solutions.


MAJOR THEMES

The  session  focuses  on how BPM/BPI theories, methods and solutions could
meet  the  dynamic  feature of e-business environment with their speediness
and  flexibility.  The  following suggested topics are not exclusive. Other
related topics are also welcome.
   #1. Business Process Modeling and Management focusing on public
   processes cross entity boundaries
   #2. Value/effects of Business Processes in Business Integration/Alliance
   #3. Rapid/Flexible Business Process Integration: research, practices,
   engagement, etc.


PARTICIPANTS

Participation   of   both,   researchers   and  practitioners  is  strongly
encouraged.
Papers  may  be  submitted  on:  research  in science and engineering, case
studies  drawn on professional practice and consulting, and position papers
based  on  large  and  rich  experience gained through executive/managerial
practices and decision-making.

POSITION PAPERS, EXTENDED ABSTRACTS AND PAPER DRAFTS SUBMISSION

Position  papers,  extended abstracts or paper drafts should be sent taking
into account the following Format:

 1. Paper title.
 2.  Position  paper,  extended  abstract of 500 to 1500 words and/or paper
drafts of 2000 to 5000 words, in English.
 3.  Authors  and/or  co-authors  with  names, addresses, telephone and fax
numbers, and e-mail addresses.
 4. In PDF format.

Position  papers,  extended  abstracts  or  paper  drafts should be sent by
e-mail, attaching it to the following e-mail addresses:

DEADLINES

April  1, 2002: Submission of position papers, extended abstracts (500-1500
words) or paper drafts (2000-5000 words).
April 20, 2002: Acceptance notifications.
May 20, 2002: Submission of camera-ready papers: hard copies and electronic
versions.


PAPERS REVIEWING AND PUBLICATION

Submitted papers will be reviewed. Accepted papers, which should not exceed
six  single-spaced  typed  pages,  will  be published by means of paper and
electronic  proceedings.  They  will follow the same publication process as
SCI2002 conference papers.

Best  papers  will  be  selected  for  awards  and might be recommended for
journal publications.

Multiple  author books will be published by IIIS based on, the best-invited
sessions,  the  best  focus  symposia  or the best mini-conferences and the
topic of the papers.
