I didn't really mean the "Does XML-Dev matter" thread to be metaphysics.
There are people who represent this list as a kind of industry consensus,
gauging the importance of new technologies by their reception on this list.
I like this list - and the people on this list - but I suspect we are not a
representative cross-sample of industry. I also suspect that our many
confident assertions about which technologies probably fall more into the
category of coffee-break musings than prophecy.
Don't get me wrong. I like coffee-break musings. But let's not take
ourselves too seriously here.
