And
that's the point when one hopes to see SVG required in RFPs, but
not
before.
Some
papers crossing my desk suggest that there are customers
looking at SVG but also trying to separate hype from facts. Facts
change
over time. Using hype as a way to sustain interest until
the
facts change is precisely why the customers are careful when
sorting out web technologies. They have a long view and the focal
points
of that view cannot withstand lots of small disruptions. Those
who
want those markets make plans that do not depend on a
hot
technology that is cold by showtime.

In 6 or 12 months I would expect the
situation to be significantly healthier and Len's concern will hopefully be
seen to be a creature of its time.
