yes and no. it's hard to have discussions on the comment lists as
typically few people are subscribed (just sad fools like me, and
probably Jeni, and the WG members) They are good when you have a
specific comment "section 3.5.3 is inconsistent with section 5.3.4...)
but it's hard to send in a comment that expresses vague (or not so
vague) unease that Xpath has lost its way somewhere. Whereas xml-dev is 
full of people well versed in expressing unease with core XML
technologies, so is a rather more amenable forum for WG bashing:-)
