I just read an article about the name change. This group was originally 
named Confederate Air Force and seems to have very recently change the name 
to be less questionable. Evidently they were finding that some corporate 
sponsors didn't like the "Confederate" portion of the name and as such 
would not be a sponsor. Doesn't matter how well the overall name is known, 
the work that is done by the organization, etc - it was only the name that 
mattered to them!
