Subject: [xml-dev] xml schema extension
What are the rules for extending in XML schema from a base class but not
adding any additional attributes or elements.
like say I have a bass class foo and I would like to have a foobar class
that extends foo. I just want to extend it for description purposes and in
case in the future there is a need to add some attributes or elements to
this sub class.
would this be all that I need to do?
<xs:complexType name="foobar">
<xs:complexContent>
<xs:extension base="foo"/>
</xs:complexContent>
</xs:complexType>
