RE: [xml-dev] Can i specify more than one root element in the specificat

[ Lists Home | Date Index | Thread Index ]

Sorry Vinod,

xml defines that any xml document should have one root node, xml schema will undoubtably follow this rule. so no you cant do this and it is not allowed.

The next question would be why you have this requirement, you should be able to rejig your xml ..

Subject: [xml-dev] Can i specify more than one root element in the specification?

Hi,

I’m new to this group and XML indeed.

IP help me out for my query (although it will be too simple 4 some of u)

Can I have a schema where it should allow me to specify more than one root element?

Basically I want to have any of this root element in my xml document instance.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Vinod.
