Humm...  How do data flow languages stack up?  It's been a while, but 
I really appreciated the speed that data acquisition and control 
applications could be put together in LabVIEW.  Much faster than text 
based languages, and without all the bother of things like variable 
names.

It would be interesting to see how XML processing and transformation 
chains could be "wired" together with element and content events and 
namespace qualified entity substitutions flying along the wires.

Oh well, back to Python.
