<giggle /><snort /><guffaw />

I can just imagine the cacophony that would erupt. People have coronaries
when we talk about small adjustments to linking semantics, and you want us
to tackle THAT?

The HTML WG, for lack of service elsewhere, HAS taken a "leadership role" as
others have suggested in quite a number of areas. When people figure out
that's what has happened, hysteria happens, and 18 months later the bulk of
what we suggested gets implemented, under the guise of someone else dreaming
it up.
