A schema defines the intent of the author.  If is so happens to coincide
with the intent of the consumer, all the merrier.

The author is not prescient of the consumer's intent in almost all cases.
Therefore, the intent of the author should not be given precedence over the
consumer's by Recommendations.

The web is all about unintentional consequences, as far as the content
producers are concerned. Which brings up an analogy with DMCA and the hacker
case being tried in Norway right now. Want to run your DVD on your Linux
box?  Too bad: that wasn't the author's intent.

Whatever happened to the principle that "your rights extend as far at the
end of my nose"?
