I liked Gabe's (and Eric's?) presentation.  But I was struck by while it was
perhaps easier to parse using XML schema (as was one of it's intentions) it
wasn't really any less syntactically crusted over than it would have been in
RDF.  And the metadata was intended specifically to annotate just one object at
a time.  Good for pictures (or media) in a photo album, to be sure, but I wonder
about it's utility elsewhere.  There's more than one way to skin the cat.  In
XML there's *plenty* of ways.
