Re: [xml-dev] Tool for navigating xml schema's

[ Lists Home | Date Index | Thread Index ]

Brian,

Oracle JDeveloper 10g Preview has a new visual XML Schema
browsing and editing design tool.

It's part of a fully-functional Java IDE, so the combo might be more
functionality than you need, but it might be worth a look if
you're combining XML Schema with XML Editing and Java programming,
web services, or database access in some way.

This link is to our product tour page. There are links to
online demos of the XML Schema editor as well as a download link.
If you watch the online viewlet, you can decide before downloading
if it will be worth your time to check it out.

The JDev 10g Preview is 100% Java and works on Windows and Linux
[we'll be certifying Mac/OSX for our production release]

The preview is beta software, of course. The production release
of JDev 10g will follow in Q1 of 2004. Our current production
release 9.0.3.X does not have the XML Schema editor in it.

Subject: [xml-dev] Tool for navigating xml schema's

| Does anyone know of a good tool for reading and navigating XML Schema's
| similarly to the way XMLSpy does? Preferably open source or freeware.
| It would also be nice if it could run(natively) on Linux and/or Mac
| OS/X.
|
| Thanks,
| B.
