Not at all - or at least, not all data models. Consider an high-level
entity-relationship model - say, an IDEF1X logical view. It is all
about things and their relationships, and not about computer structures
at all.
Conversely, what is the data model for this?
field1 - 2bits
field2 - 13 bits
field3 - 4 bits
