   Sr. XML Analyst position available

Job Title:  Sr XML Analyst

Dayton, OH 
Newark, NJ

San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities  
This position exists to support LexisNexis' move to XML for editorial and
product delivery systems by leading the development of  XML DTDs/schemas and
architectural designs and principles. Responsibilities include: 
1. Help customers define their requirements. 
2. Run data modeling workshops to develop XML DTDs & schemas. 
3. Develop editorial tools and products that use XML. 
4. Write documentation, presentations and training materials specific to our
DTDs and DTD design principles. 
5. Research/participate in industry standard initiatives.

Qualifications  
Travel required. Although this position is posted for Dayton, candidates
from other L-N locations are encouraged to apply without consideration to
relocation.  
1.Three years+ experience with writing SGML and XML DTDs, strong knowledge
of related standards 
2.One or more core programming languages (particularly Java, Perl, Omnimark)

3.Experience with legal data is desirable. 
4.Knowledge of XML industry products and tools is desirable. 
5.Ability to work independently, creatively and strategically. 
6.Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
7.Requires both presentations & documentation, so good oral and written
communication skills are important. As the job involves organizing and
running analytical workshops, good presentation and meeting skills are a
must. 
8.Ability to explain technical issues to customers and customer/editorial
issues to technical developers.
