Summary:
XBRL International (www.xbrl.org), a not for profit global consortium, seeks
a business development professional to provide innovative leadership and
execution for global XBRL brand management, adoption and fundraising
activities that includes special events, third party outreach and grant
writing activities.
Responsibilities:
Increase funding to XBRL International and its jurisdictions to achieve
sustainability. Develop and manage a global fundraising plan consistent with
the organizations strategic plan; activities include creating support
materials, performing research, grant writing, proposal submissions,
networking, and relationship-building.
Increase global XBRL adoption and strengthen brand image. Develop and
coordinate global brand management, adoption activities and an outreach
plan; activities include developing a marketing/ communication/ outreach
plan, budgeting and coordinating volunteer resources to carry out the plan.
Develop and maintain working relationships with the International Steering
Committee, the Marketing & Communication Workgroup, and members of XBRL
International and prospective members to effectively carryout fundraising
and adoption efforts.
As a member of management team, explore and develop strategies for creating
new sources of sustainable income for XBRL International.
Provide business development direction and leadership to new and established
XBRL Jurisdictions to support jurisdiction sustainability and global XBRL
adoption.
Location:
Negotiable.
Job Requirements:
Goal oriented with a focus on detail and execution.
At least five (5) years of fundraising and adoption experience in a
leadership role; consortium experience a plus.
Successful track record of grantwriting and raising funds.
Familiarity with XML and related technologies.
Well connected in the business reporting community.
Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
An effective public speaker with a commanding presence in representing XBRL
International to our stakeholders around the world.
Ability to establish and build business relationships to extend and grow the
XBRL community.
Strong commitment to working collaboratively with members to build consensus
solutions.
Superior facilitation, consensus building, problem solving, organizational
and learning skills.
Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations, Advertising or Marketing preferred) or
equivalent experience.
Multilingual a plus.
International travel required, not to exceed 25%.
