I have been leaning toward RSS 2.0, but this argument sways me to Atom,
especially if the newsreaders can handle it. I just got off the phone
with one of the clients that wants newsfeeds. He does not really care
what type/version -- he feels it is a 'future' thing -- he is apparently
correct.
What is holding Atom up? Where is in its growth to final (too early <-->
very close)?
