Semantic Technologies for eGov 2004 Program announced

The Federal CIO Council's Semantic Interoperability
Community of Practice (SICoP) and TopQuadrant have released the advanced
program for both days of the conference: September 8th. Program
and September 9th. Program.
The conference will take place on September 8-9, 2004 at MITRE Corporation headquarters in
McLean, Virginia.
The focus of the program is breakthrough technology for data integration, process interoperability,
and decision support.
Expanding on last year’s first run of this
seminal event at the White House Conference Center, Semantic Technologies for
eGov 2004 offers a comprehensive event in an extended two day format.
Topics include a Special Tutorial on Semantic Web
Applications, RDF/S and OWL, executive briefings summarizing
new research on the benefits, value and lifecycle ROI of semantic technologies
for government and industry, the semantic web landscape and implementation case
studies.
Keynote and featured speakers this year include Eric Miller, Semantic Web Activity Lead, World
Wide Web Consortium; Jeff Pollock, Vice President Technology, Network
Inference; George Strawn, CIO, NSF; Zvi Schreiber, CEO, Unicorn; Mills Davis,
Managing Director, TopQuadrant-TopConnexions; and Professor Jim Hendler,

The conference
Call for Papers resulted in many good submissions being received. Selected
papers will be presented at one of the two tracks at the conference. Several
papers will also be presented as poster sessions. The conference program
includes vendor exhibits. Exhibiting companies include such leading technology vendors
as Convera, Digital
Harbor, IBM and Unicorn Solutions.
In response to a growing interest in the use of
Semantic Web in government Last Year's Event was
oversubscribed. We recommend that you Register Today.
