Isn't this akin to saying that the entropy is in the information itself,  
not in the markup?  There's no question that very complex information can  
be represented by very simple markup.  I don't see anyway to make general  
statements about the value added (or obscured) by a given level of markup  
complexity, especially without the context of an actual requirement.
