XTECH 2005 -- CALL FOR
PARTICIPATION <http://www.xtech-conference.org/2005/call.asp>
"XML, the Web and
Beyond"
24-27 May, 2005. Amsterdam,
Netherlands.
Submissions of abstracts for
papers and tutorials are now being accepted for XTech
2005. The deadline for proposals is January 7, 2005.
XTech
2005 is a conference for developers and managers working with XML and Web
technologies, bringing together the worlds of XML and web development, open
standards, open source and open data. This year's tracks include:
* Core Technologies
(XML specs and processing)
* Applications
(vocabularies, applications and experience)
* Browser Technology (Mozilla, XAML, WhatWG, forms)
* Open Data (policy
& technology issues of putting data on the web)
A full description of
tracks, including suitable topic areas, can be found on the web: <http://www.xtech-conference.org/2005/tracks.asp>
Formerly known as the XML
Europe conference, XTech has widened its scope to
incorporate neighboring technologies from the web and business. As the
use of XML broadens out beyond traditional core topics, we want to reflect that
in the conference.
The two new areas in this
conference reflect the lively development in web user interfaces and the
growing experimentation with open access to data at the personal, corporate and
government levels.
More information on the new
tracks and their relevance to the XML community can be found in Edd Dumbill's XML.com article on XTech
2005 online at <http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2004/11/10/deviant.html>
Abstracts will be
blind-reviewed by a selection of peer reviewers. If successful, you will
be asked to produce a paper for the conference.

submission form are available at
