Topologi's Difference Detective is a US$29-00 utility for non-specialists,
available now from the Topologi Tool Shop

Compare files or directories and show any differences. Three kinds of
comparisons are available:
* XML Word-by-Word differences, for small dense files wuch as XSLT (< 10K)
* Text Line-by-Line differences, for medium files (< 100K)
* Binary comparison, for any file (< 100 Meg)
The utility has a convenient point-and-click interface. A free three-day
evaluation version is available.
