No, it doesn't. That only applies to unexpanded entities in the element
content. The key sentence is "There is such an information item for each
unexpanded reference to an external general entity *within the content
of an element*." It does not apply to unexpanded entities in the
attribute values. SAX has the same problem. Dom, interestingly, does
not, because DOM allows attribute values to have children.
