   question about generalized markup

[ Lists Home | Date Index | Thread Index ]

 covers the term "generalized markup" also the feature that the user can
 define his own Generic Identifier ?

 Does the markup of the "generic markup" concept describes an unambiguously
logical role of a component of a text, or is its describtion
more universal ? For example

      <list>
        <listElement>Peter Smith</listElement>
        <listElement>Northstreet 5</listElement>
      </list>

      instead of

       <person>
        <namet>Peter Smith</name>
        <address>Northstreet 5</address>
      </person>

Ludger
