Program Overview
Seamless, out-of-the-box interoperability has been the holy grail motivating
most of the standardization initiatives. Everyone agrees that
interoperability is key, yet different definitions of the solution abound.
The OASIS Symposium brings together leaders in industry and government to
explore the various facets of interoperability, their dependencies, enabling
technologies, supporting standards, practices and opportunities for
improvement. The event is designed to provide practitioners and designers of
e-business and e-government systems with a broader, more aligned
understanding of interoperability issues and solutions.
The three-day event will explore business and technical sessions, including:
∙ The Goal of Interoperability: Socio-Economic Liberty
∙ A Tool Kit for Implementing XML Schema Naming and Design Rules
∙ Interoperability at Work: The Semantic and Contractual Perspectives
∙ Creating Interoperability for the Financial Industry
∙ Categories of Vocabulary Compatibility
∙ Bridging the Business-to-IT Gap
∙ How Business and IT Interoperate Using SOA
