If you found firstname.lastname@example.org then perhaps the reason it is
almost dead is because no-one asks questions there and looks
elsewhere to ask them.

I don't think it is out of scope on XML-Dev, but if it is a "how do I
do this?" kind of question, then I suggest you keep the Yahoo list
alive by asking it there and then others will answer.
