xquery being a superset of xpath, there's discussion of a couple of xml
syntaxes here

one being the format emitted by the W3C's Xquery parser applet and
closely tied to the production names in the XQuerty/XPath2 specs.
The other being XQueryX which is winding its way through w3c
recommendation track procedures.
