Comparisons to a rising tide of acrimony that is crossing over from politics
to the politics of standards, the techniques of semiotics that make is easy
to steer without responsibility of leadership, these are topics for this and
any other list where wild charges are made without proof over any entity,
person, company or party.
If you want to teach, you first learn to learn.
No apologies made. None asked.

Those are two different issues, and attempting to conflate them in my
mind eliminates the argument. Digs at Microsoft, Google, and others who
are actually relevant to the topic of this list are very acceptable. As
long as the Democrats and Republicans don't know or care what XML is,
then that should be off-list.
