You can be certain that the response to the comments will be thorough. I've
been looking at Jason Matusow's responses on his blog. Even in the face of
the hysteria, he remains focused and professional.
It's a good example to emulate.

While the objectives of OOXML may be good (to both the proponent and other
end users), the editor really needs to do a better job than using ambiguous
words like "emulate", "behavior", etc that do not belong to a quality
international standard proposal.
