Quite so, thanks for pointing this out. I just looked, and RFC 1642 was
obsoleted by RFC 2152, which contains the following status:
Status of this Memo
This memo defines an Experimental Protocol for the Internet
community. This memo does not specify an Internet standard of any
kind. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
Time to fix this in Wikipedia ;->
